Thomas Biagi

History

It’s the story of a racer who, driven by his passions, lived a lifestyle within and around racing tracks all around the world: Thomas Biagi. Other than being one the most popular drivers of the international racing world, thanks to the 6 titles won in the four wheels world, is also a successful manager in the field of corporate incentives.

Thomas Biagi was born in Bologna in 1976, he started his career from karting, in which excelled winning the title of Italian Champion. Pioneer of the “baby-drivers” soon-to-become trend, just 16 he was already racing in Formula Alfa Boxer, becoming the youngest Italian driver in the history of the category, just before approaching, still underage, Formula 3, where he immediately triumphed.
This was just a prelude to a brilliant experience in the international F.3000, where he wins the European vice-championship, and to the precious experiences with various F1 cars.

This was just a prelude to a brilliant experience in the international F.3000, where he wins the European vice-championship, and to the precious experiences with various F1 cars.
In 2003 he decided to make a career change and to leave the single-seaters for the Ferrari covered wheels.

After 6 wins, 5 of which consecutive (record yet to be beaten), in 2007 clinches the title of World Champion in the competitive FIA GT1 series behind the wheel of a Maserati MC12. Impossible challenges are not rare in Thomas’ career, so in 2009 races in three championships at once: Speedcar Series, FIA GT1 e Le Mans Series.

In the Prototypes category he claims the victory on his debut on the “1000 Km of Barcelona” and finishes the season dominating the 6 hours of Vallelunga.

In 2010 another important change follows: after winning 2 titles out of 4, Thomas leaves the FIA GT Championship to join the emerging Superstars Championship under the prestigious colours of Roberto Rvaglia’s BMW Italia Team where he will race for 3 seasons. Thanks to 3 wins and 8 podiums he becomes both Italian Champion and International Champion on his first attempt. In 2011 Thomas proves his capability to aim to the stars by playing hard till the end.
In 2015 Thomas races in the Italian Gran Turismo Championship, behind the wheel of a McLaren 12/C GT3, both as a driver and Team Principal, under the team Scuderia Racing Studios, founded by himself, scoring two poles in the Imola race.
2016 is the year of the redemption. The persistent driver decides to bet all on a brand which represents the Italian racing par excellence, Lamborghini, and joins the GT Open International behind the wheel of a Huracan GT3, prepared by the Lazarus team. With 1 win, 8 podiums he clinches the prestigious title of Champion on his debut in the category.
2017 will be a natural continuation of this career. After a brilliant season wearing the bull of the Sant’Agata Bolognese’s team Thomas will race in the Gt Open International with a Huracan of the Mirandola’s Imperiale Racing team to honour and defend the 1rst position.
